We visited the centre while on a Christmas Markets river cruise. It was very interesting and informative. The audio equipment was excellent. We were disappointed that the wall descriptions were only in German. Other than that, it was w worthwhile experience.

The museum takes you through the history of the Nazi party from a band of rabble rousers and street thugs to a legitimate democratically elected government and ultimately to the Nuremberg trials. Allow time to digest things.

Located approximately 10 minutes from Nuremburg city centre by bus or tram, the Documentation Centre is a well-curated and in-depth analysis of the rise, rule and ultimate demise of the National Socialist regime in Germany. Occupying one corner of the monumental, decaying structure of the...More

Documentation centre or Reichsparteitagsgelände - The permanent exhibition "fascination and power" deals with the causes, connections and results of the national-socialist dictatorship. Included is the history and details of huge popular events by the Nazis as propaganda for the staging of their "national community". A...More

If you are INTO the WWII this is a must see place. It costs 6€, 1,5€ if you are student or in possession of the nuremberg card. It tells a lot of the war specially of the nuremberg part and the nazi part rallies.

The buildings that are left from the National Socialist era are here and still as dramatic as they were always intended to be. So that is worth seeing alone to understand. But the audio guide in English to see the displays (all German) is great....More

A stay to Nuremberg would not be complete without a visit to the documentation museum. A short tram ride (#8) took us directly to this site from the front of our hotel. With the aid of an audio guide and excellent displays and films, my...More

Instead of doing the centre itself, we decided to take the bus outside of the centre. It takes you across the 11 sq kilometer terrain and tells all the stories, details and backgrounds including video. Worthwile and recommendable

We spent three hours at the museum. The audio guide is fantastic. I speak German, but my husband doesn't and there isn't anything that you miss with using the audio guide. You can go at your own pace and there is a lot of... More
