This puppet museum was adorable! I enjoyed every minute of it. There were very few people there during my visit making it easy to navigate and view all the displays. It is a small museum, but it makes you smile!

The "Kiste" is a small museum for the famous Augsburger Puppenkiste, a marionette theatre that is very well known in Germany from many TV shows. The museum shows the puppets, arranged in scenes from their various shows, from the first ones to the latest shows, from individual puppets to large scenes, all lovingly arranged. In addition, they offer special themes... More

Very nice artistic work, all the muppets are hand made and everything is made manually. You can see the original muppets from the tv series, which scenario and everything. Also you can see the show with the muppets in the theater, and it's very funny and interesting, specially if you understand German. In the show interval you can visit the... More

It s very nice for children - different fairy-tale stories But not only. Adults have fun too. From time to time it will be featured a cabaret show. It s nice to see. But its better, when vistors understand the German language.

We were recommended this as a visit well known to Germans; it was certainly packed (we went on a Sunday). There was also a puppet show in the theatre, but it was sold out before we got there. The puppets on display (hundreds of them) obviously meant more to the Germans visiting, but we still found it entertaining. Certainly different!

It is a great museum for all of those who watched the Augsburger Puppenkiste as a child. It brings back a lot of memories and is well worth the trp.

This is an amazing display of marionettes - they were staged in glass cases with the historic story they represented. We did not get to see a show, but those are supposed to be excellent.

My wife and my kids always watched the stories from Puppenstube at the television. The kids told me regularly what they saw and this is how I do know some of the stories. It was funny to see the dols of these stories. There was even a movie we did look. This is a great museum. pore

This place is a genuine museum of interesting exhibits and fun revolving around puppets and marionettes. The puppet shows were completely booked but we were not disappointed by the museum and charm of the place. If possible, get tickets to the show in advance.
