Based on the reviews I've read, I didn't expect over-much from this zoo. I was very pleasantly surprised! The enclosures, on the whole, look well thought out and nicely maintained. We particularly liked the tiger enclosure, with plenty of water for the cats to play...More

This zoo can be seen in about 2 hours, so really good for a morning or afternoon. It is also near the botanic garden, so they could be combined for a trip. Lots of variety and nice enclosures for the animals.

A clean and tidy zoo. Nice areas for the animals. The zoo isn't to big. You'll see in the zoo in around 2 hours. Fun to do when you have time to spare in augsburg,

We visited this Zoo, which is appr. 2,5 km from Augsburgs City center. A fancy - older - typical city Zoo. Easy to walk around, quite some nice rare animals not typical for all zoo's. Partly older animal-accommodation, partly re-newed.

Augsburg Zoo is very family friendly and a very enjoyable day out. The entrance fee is very reasonable and there are good attractions for children like the train ride, and the playground. The resturant is very good value as well.

We had a great visit to this Zoo even though the weather was not on our side. Best of all we got to see the baby rhino.
