A full array of heavy equipment from the early 20th century through mid century, arrayed in a former working rail yard with turn table and engine houses. More like the secondary engine house at the B&O in Baltimore or the Pennsy Museum rail yard. Lots of access, but everything is in German. If you know trains, this is not an... More

Deutsch only, no English available. But if your interested in trains, this is really worth to visit. Small shop to buy DB related items and movies.

Not many trains to see and what there are look like they've been poorly salvaged. It's a walk out of town and 6 euro to see junk! You can stand on the normal railway station and from there see all you need to see free from one of the platforms

seven euros entry and to be honest you can see more for free at the NYMR! There is a lot of rolling stock but it's badly presented and doesn't give the impression of a thriving museum but rather of one in decline. There is some interesting stuff to see but I wouldn't make another effort to visit this.

Based in the former steam locomotive depot the museum houses steam, diesel and electric locomotives. There is also a repair workshop and steam locomotives are serviced and prepared to run on the mail line. There is much work to do as many exhibits are stored in the open awaiting attention, but most of the steam locomotives are safely stored in... More

This is not a neat and tidy museum with glass cases. It is a locomotive yard full of amazing steam, diesel and electric locomotives. We watched them haul a loco out of a shed and fit a new chimney to it. It costs six euros to get in, worth it to support the work they are doing. Go take a... More
