The higher standing tower named Siebers tower which is part of the famous Plönlein you can't climb up. It leads you to an another outer part of the town which is not so crowded by tourists as in the most other places. The tower has a nice clock on its facade. From the other side of the tower you can... More

It is a nice tower, but I was thinking you can go up. Really we got only up to the walls level and got back on the surrounding wall tunnel of the city . A very good way to get fast from a place to another and an excellent walk .

This tower sits just to the left of Das Plonlein and it part of the iconic photos taken in Rothenburg. It is a lovely tower more ornate than some in the city and its gateway leads to another part of the city, where not as many tourists go. Don't forget to get a shot of it on its own while... More

What a great spot in an amazing town, Rothenburg. So many photo ops, this tower being on the top of that list.

I loved the whole town. But this tower is a must see. The history involved and the stories told by the guide were great. It is really great that most of this town survived the WW2 bombing. The tower is cool. The town is cool. Probably my favorite part of Germany.

Just like in the Fairy Tales from childhood, you just know that there is a golden haired princess up there.

My grandchildren thought there surely must be a princess up there, and a dragon to slay! Taking the town tour with them was perfect.

The overlook is nice on a clear day with no crowd so you can take advantage of the view. A crowded day with lousy weather....the tower was a mistake. I didn't take a single photo.

This is the clock tower to the left when you view from Plonlein. Going past this tower will lead you to the Spital Bastion.

Great view. Definitely worth the climb to the top. They do charge a small admission when you reach the top but it's worth it to get away from the crowds and see the city from up above. The view from the tower at the town hall is better so if you're only going to do one I would recommend that... More
