A nice relaxing place to enjoy a stroll and a tipple, particularly a glass of Silvaner, the local wine. There's a good atmosphere on the bridge in the evening and nice views of the Marienburg fortress lit up at night.

A great place to stroll around and admire at any time, but on a balmy summer's evening it becomes a focal point for the townsfolk to relax on. At the city end a couple of wine shops allow everyone a glass of the local wines...More

We walked across the Old Main Bridge built in 1133! So much history! Felt so privileged just stepping back in time to something so beautiful built so long ago, viewing the river and walking between the new and old towns.

It can be very busy, but is worth the walk across to see all the statues, views from the bridge and the river. It is also a great place to people watch.

Fine bridge with great views. The river is impressive with a large lock and falls. There is a very good cafe restaurant with a terrace overlooking the river - stop there and let some time go by

Enjoyed a traditional meal here. Made a reservation so had hoped for an outside seat, but was seated right in the entrance. I was disappointed at first as it wasn't the prettiest part of the restaurant, but happy when the skies opened up and soaked...More

This old bridge (15th century) replaced an even older bridge (11 century) and offers a great view and walk with a lot of touristic sights.
