St Killian Cathedral is one of the many churches in the quaint town of Wurzburg. Apparently Wurzburg is considered the city of 100 churches. Historically interesting because St Kilian lived in this part of Franconia around the 7th century and began preaching. The final resting...More

Another church of Wurzburg. It will be surely on your walking tour. Drop in and check out the basement.

It is a good cathedral but does not have a unique flavor about it to make it a must see. It is well located in picturesque Wirzburg.

The entire city is decked with churches like this, or rather, the entire country it seems. But I personally wouldn't miss taking at least a quick peek inside. It's worthwhile.

This is worth your time. Enjoy the simple architecture, the splendid white altar, and thestatues that adorn the sides. While it is not nearly as ornate as many of the churches you'll see, I found it most pleasing.

We rather liked the 'plain' facade, the interior is full of the kind of baroque tat you'll see all over southern Germany, you may as well pop in, but you'll see nothing here that you won't find in dozens and dozens of othr churches.

They rebuilt using both new ideas & keeping or rebuilding with the old ones too. To me, this worked out fine. They have some beautiful very old tombstones if you turn a left right as you enter the church. This was worth the time.

Tightly surrounded by neighboring buildings, an extensive interio resounded with the two organ pieces played during a midday recital.

Attended the Palm Sunday celebrations here some years back, as well as a diocesan youth mass. Really impressive church with a great atmosphere and community feel. I would love to revisit this church some day. Recommend a visit if you're passing.
