In front of Schloss Charlottenburg you'll find this beauty. A very nice museum, not too crowed, a 'lean' cafe with a small outside area and a nice museum shop. Some of the artworks are masterpieces so if you like moden art, go!

Just a few meters from Schloss Charlottenburg. Nice building. Not so many visitors (the day we visited it). Many Picassos, Condo and a few Matisses.

I had no high expectations of this one but it turned out it was a very pleasant museum. There were no many people there. The collection is quite good. I liked the museum and the lay out. I had a museumpass so did not pay anything. I do recommend this museum to those near other museums of Charlotenburg palace.

The permanent collection most notably includes many Picassos, Klees, and a few Matisses. It's a smaller museum, so don't expect to spend the whole day unless you're a bona-fide student of modern art. Many George Condo paintings were also on display when we visited- an excellent and often humorous exhibit! I'm glad we didn't miss it.

Very noce collection of modern art, mostly Picassos but also lots of Klees and some Matisses. Absolutely a must to see if you value this era. The Condo exhibition which is on till march 2017 is also very interesting. Easy to access, we took bus nr. 109 from Charlottenburg station. One of four very closely situated museums - the collection... More

This museum had quite a collection of Picassos and Klees, as well as some Cezannes and Matisses. For €10 it is worth it if you like this period.

This museum is virtually devoted to works by Picasso and Klee. As a collection assembled by an individual, for my taste it included too many second-rate drawings by Picasso, who was too prolific. But there are one or two excellent paintings, and some very good Klee paintings.

We went to see the Charlottenburg Schloss. Fortunately for us, it was under construction otherwise we would not have discovered this absolutely beautiful museum and gallery. It contains a fairly comprehensive collection of Paul Klee's work. The museum itself was intimate yet architecturally impressive setting for the art. I also liked the many Picasso paintings, which were some of lesser... More

Came with the family but ended up visiting on my own as it was just too 'boring' for them. I loved it! The museum building itself is beautiful inside and the collection is well presented. I took the audio guide (in English or German only) which gave background information on at least 15 works of art and explained their significance... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
