It's a very nice place to go with the children. It's not big, but it's very well organised and it was fun for my 12 years niece. You will be there approx 1 - 1 and a half hour

We've visited the Aquadom several times over the years and on our recent trip to Berlin in November 2016 decided to take our friend (an avid fish-lover) with us. As for the "Sea life" part - I don't care for fish, so it feels like a waste of time to have to walk through it for 30 minutes to get... More

Even though it is a small sized aquarium it is a fun hour or two. Breaks your day of travelling up well. has a good variety of animals and has a unique lift ride at the end up a giant tank.

The aquarium itself is rather mediocre. You can find better ones easily, but smaller children would still enjoy it very much. The main tank (Aquadom) is rather unique. It is a 25m high, tube shaped tank, with an elevator in the middle. After boarding it, it takes you to the top and back. Something different at least. Make sure to... More

I had a great time at the aquarium!!!It has 2 floors! On the first you can see a variety of fish...it's marvelous...you can take many photos...it seems like you are inside the aquarium...the sense is unbelievable!!!On the second, you get inside an elevator and you see other rare fish all around you!!!!MUST visit it!!The cost was 14.5 euros per person!

I have been to many aquariums, this one is not one of the best. It is small and somehow crowded, kids liked it but still there are many other aquariums that are much better.

This place is great. It's really is! You can go online and book tickets for as little as €10 per adult and kids are even less. This does invoke clicking a date and then a time you want to view to see the price it will actually cost you when you go but it doesn't take long. There's a great... More

The main fish tanks are situated in some dark cellars and are quite well signed and displayed. The best bit is the AquaDom where you go up on a lift in the middle of a giant column of fish. It was a bit pricey

Aquarium just an ordinary. You can find better aquariums at the other world cities.Only intresting point is, its cylindrical aquarium.A glass cylinder moving from down to up and you. stand on it.You feel like swim with the fishes. In side of the cylinder is being so hot. One track cost is 18€ (as I remembered) If you pay more you can join... More

The kids wanted the aqua dom to be visited and we thought that it could be a good ideea also for adults. It proved right. Kids were having lots of fun and interesting things to see and we have enjoyed their happiness and satisfying our curiosity. Nice place.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
