Must see in Berlin! Visiting the Sea life and Aqua Dom could be the most interesting for your kids in Berlin at all. We have been there twice already. Aqua Dom is large transparent elevator cylinder form and there's water with thousand of fishes covering it from all sides. Absolutely unique to see and to feel despite of queue waiting... More

It's nice however it only lasted about 40 minutes and that's because we got caught up playing an interactive game. If you're just a group of adults give it a miss. We stayed in the Radisson Blu hotel where you get better views of the dome from your room....

The place is very small, and there really wasn't much to see other than some small fish and stingrays. I think it might be better for small children, but as an adult- not worth it.

if you have never been to a sea life centre then I would recommend going they fun and enjoyable especially if you have kids, what makes this one interesting is the large tank that's in the radison blue hotel with a lift in the middle of it. if you have seen one before or time is limited then I would... It wasn't very big, but it was a lovely sealife centre, slightly spoilt by large groups of children and some adults not letting others near the tanks. The Aquadom was a brilliant experience, I wish they wouldn't ram so many people in the lift though. This should really be free for Raddison Blu guests, but its not. An enjoyable morning... More

Three generations of my family visited this aquarium and our experience was wonderful. Our two year old was fascinated with the possibility of seeing in front of her through the glass many fish and crustaecious creatures, that generated woos from the little one. We liked it because aside from being educational and bilingual it was not interminable but just right,... More

Commercial rubbish - if you fancy seeing fish apparently the aquarium by the zoo is far better (don't go but wish we did have heard great things), this was just a rip off, dated and dirty. The reason I have given 2 stars is because of the amount of baby horseshoe crabs - the only impressive thing there!

Really small and nothing new to see. Which I suppose is more ethical so that's a good thing. But for adults really nothing to see, kids seemed to love it. But not worth spending the entrance fee if you are looking to see exotic exciting things. Just small fish.

We have visited the seam life aquarium, it was enjoyable, ofcourse, the Zoo aquarium that we visited later was bigger with much more varieties. but this one was also nice specially during rainy day. the aqua elevator experience worth trying, and the restaurant area around is nice place for having lunch.

Great Sea Life centre with some very interesting fish/crustaceans that I've never seen before despite travelling/seeing other sea life centres. For me seeing the worlds biggest done aquarium and travelling in the elevator was the best. The lady diver/host was brilliant showing us the Surgeon fish, vampire fish and the ones with the crazy 'noses'.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
