The tower itself looks amazing , reasonable price to go up , do feel that they pack the lift with to many people. definatly a must do though If you visit.

We purchased a late evening slot and headed up before sunset, tower provides a nice view all over Berlin and Bar 203 at the top is a great spot for a drink (and cheaper alternative to the restaurant) while watching the worlds beneath your feet.

We decide to go up, and bought a ticket day before. We had a ticket for morning time, but it was rainy day and sky was full od fog! They didn't want to give us money back so we decide still to go...but we didn't see anything. Just spend more money on bar. Waiter on bar was very professional and... More

By the way: Staff member should have offered you a stamp on our ticket which entitles you to a complimentary welcome-back-ticket. We offer this service on foggy days. We booked a slot at 2 o'clock which meant we had a fast track into the tower itself, it was relatively quiet anyway but it meant by passing visitors just for the observation deck. You go through security and have your bags scanned. They then take you up in a lift where you can see yourself climbing the floors where... More

Good view of Berlin, efficient queuing system but wasn't blown away quite like other towers I have been up. Can't put my finger on why. Clean, tidy and well worth doing once however.

Berlin is a large sprawling city and the SBahn / Ubahn can be disorienting.. This was the only tourist thing we did on our three day visit and I was glad we did. It was a warm sunny day and we had a great view of Berlin, its worth taking the time to read the panels at each window.

The tower looks quite impressive and made us want to go and see what it was like. The queues were long, security check and then more queues. Once we got up the stairs we had to wait at another level before we could go up the tower in the lift. It is well worth a visit as you it has... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
