Point of departure of most of the guided walking tours. Main embassies and attractions nearby, incl. Brandebourg gate, in front. A few cafés.

This is a busy square, at the end of Unter den Linden, next to Brandenburg gate. While the square itself is anything but unique, its proximity to the famous gate does all the difference in the world.

The market itself is nice, with the embassy buildings and the hotel, but it is very crowded with a lot of tourists and with the guys that are always asking you if you want a bike, a tuc tuc :)

This was a nice area to visit to take photos of the Brandenberg Gate and can be very busy. At Christmas there was a lovely Christmas tree.

It's the Brandemburg Gate's square. It's lively, good for people watching, and also a famous meeting point. Be ready to take a lot of pictures!

Our Princess Cruise Tour took us to this square and then we began our walk to several important locations. It is a major square and it is very busy. We did not see any public facilities anywhere so this is an issue. Because of the...More

Neil K wrote everything I thought of :-) I just don't agree with his rating - place is nice but nothing spectacular there. Just average.

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
