This is a lovely tree lined neighbourhood. We wandered about here for a hour, found the old orphanage. Lots of history and plenty of visuals to keep you occupied.

Enjoyed wandering the neighbourhood viewing the street art as my wife was shopping in several of the independent clothing stores.

This is the description of the taxi driver who took us there. A trendy neighbourood, with lovely houses and plenty of greenery. Quieter than busy Kreutzberg and suaver than commercial Charlottenburg I can understand the driver's pride of being one of the privileged neighbours.

We are staying at this moment in an appartment in Prenzlauer Berg, it's a nice area with lots of supermarkts, restaurants and really close to Alexander Platz.

Worth of visiting. Do combine e.g., with a visit to the traditional Currywurst place Konnopke. The Wasserturm building is so interesting among the others.

I did a lot of research before selecting this area as our home base while in Berlin. The are plenty of shop and restaurants to choice from. Easy access to tram and subway stations make getting around very easy and reasonable. Enjoy!!!

No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists
that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in
the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip
crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,

The answer is probably yes but more likely is they will charge you to hold the bags - that seems to be a common practice . But ask the hotel.
