Each visit brings a good restaurant -- Indian food in Berlin -- or new store -- Patagonia in Berlin. Who knew or could imagine how much there is to see just on Kastanienallee in Prenzlauer Berg?

Visit this revitalized neighborhood- site of former East German projects that have been redone - lovely architecture- on a Sunday when most things are closed down in Berlin. Lots of outdoor cafes and restaurants to try out- visit the Flea Market but watch out for...More

Take a leisurely walk in this area linking parks and shopping streets for a good neighborhood experience. Kollwitz Strasse and Konstanienallee south of Danziger Strasse are very nice. Note: shops open late here, 11am to 12pm for most. To have the best browsing, afternoon is...More

We had been in Berlin for a couple of times, but never visited Prenzlauer Berg. It was a pleasant surprise to walk there.

We zipped through Prenzlauer Berg and loved our small taste of it - a neighbourhood we will spend more time in on our next visit. farmers markets on Sat, great coffee and treelined streets.

My daughter just moved to P'berg so she knew all the cool spots. We had a lot of fun shopping, eating street food, visiting the food trucks on sunday afternoon at the old brewery, and just strolling around the parks and leafy streets.

I love this area of Berlin in the warm months. Lots of small stores, bars and restaurants pouring out onto the streets, young and lively. There is an artistic flare and a real attempt at a individual and unique mom and pop style shopping. No...More

We visited a German friend who lives in this neighbourhood of lovely parks and cafes. If we had more time we would've done and seen more.

It's not in the center and there are no museums here, but I recommend a visit as this has become one of Berlin's most hip neighborhoods. Full of cool restaurants, cafes and beer gardens, and a great street vibe.

Kollwitzplatz, Kollwitzstrasse, Reike str. and surrounding areas are nice. Cobbled streets. Peaceful and calm many vegetarian / vegan restaurants. Bio food chains are close by. Feels like a villiage with people walking slowly to their destination. Everyone seems to have time to talk, or take...More

No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists
that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in
the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip
crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,
