Still between winter and spring

A large but winterish forest with travelers walking and biking. The atmosphere is grey and the trees are bare.

Large area, all flat, for an easy walk. Lots of monuments, smaller gardens, lakes. Surprisingly quiet and lots of wildlife. Good spot for a break, snack, sitting down etc.

It is very easy to forget you are in the middle of Berlin whilst walking through the many paths in Tiergarten. There are lots of statues to look at - including the Russian war memorial. However, there were a number of people asking us "to sign" a piece of paper - be VERY careful and do not sign - these... More

The park is huge! What a wonderful place to sit with a beer and a brat, while enjoying the beautiful day. I would highly suggest (making a reservation and) heading to the Reichstag Building Dome just north of the park. The free audio guide at the top explains the history and other info about the park.

being between the hotel and centre of Berlin we took to walking through this many times - each time it Brough up surprises - whether that be a huge Soviet memorial or a hidden gem of a statue, with large rock art installation, play park, and many paths wide and small it has something for everyone.

It was relaxing to walk around with my man in this area. The smell of trees comes out at night and you can see birds around

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
