The one hour English tour for 5 euros is well worth it. If you love classical music this is a must. Easy to get to as its a 5 minutes walk from potsdamer Platz. The guide gives you the history of how it got its...More

Not many people know there is a free concert in the foyer of the Philharmonie almost every Tuesday. You just have to be early and wait until they open the doors. Get there around eleven but be ready to queue. I have done that a...More

the building is a landmark. it's one of the symbols of Berlin. On Tuesdays the admission is free. Interesting building inside-out. The orchestra pit is a pentagon-shaped. Amazing acoustics. Daily excursions (1pm at the entrance for artists).

We saw the Philharmonic (a dream come true) and what surprised me was this building, designed back in the 1960's is very unique and the sound is incredible. If you can catch a concert, do it. The orchestra is still one of the best in...More

We booked tickets a week in advance (from the US) and scored GREAT seats. The building interior is quite impressive. Not grand in the sense of scale, but beautiful nonetheless - color, texture, sound. Leave your coat with an attendant when you arrive. It's all...More

The best performance by the philharmonie. Well worth the price. Buy your tickets as soon as it goes on sale since it sells out quickly.

I spend one night in this amazing place to listen with my friend a live concert of Orchestra Ohilarmonic. The place is amazing and also the location and the sound.

The philharmonic was not available in full concert during our visit to Berlin, but there was an ensemble of members along with a soprano and organist who provided a wonderful performance in the new Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial Church. The acoustics were great and what an organ.

We were lucky to get tickets 2 days in advance , either very expensive or cheap restricted view seats available though. Beautiful quality of sound, impressive looking place .

The Berliner Philharmonic is truly one of the world's great orchestras. Every visitor should try to get tickets. The concert hall is a masterpiece of 1960's design with audience pods surrounding the orchestra. Acoustics are superb, particularly for solo piano. And Sir Simon Rattle has...More

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop

You can find the answer to this question by looking on the calendar of the Berlin Philharmonic. It is difficult to get tickets to hear Simon Rattle. We saw the Berlin Symphony instead. Wonderful! It tells you how to contact... More

At the Philharmonie, there is no "dress code". Our audiences wear suits and evening wear as well as jeans and T-shirts. Most guests, however, consider a concert at the Philharmonie as a special event for which they dress... More
