Even if you are not a car fanatic, this is a place worth visiting. It's an old tram depo that is now home for multiple car reconditioning shops and car services handling special automobiles. Part of it is used for parking cars on two levels. There are stairs and a separate walk alley so you can view all cars close.... More

This is an interesting place to stroll around for an hour or two. We visited on a public holiday and although the main building was open, the internal shops and service bays were closed so there wasn't much to see there. The cars are unique and include some that I have never seen on a public road like a Veyron... More

It is free admission and is a car enthusiast dream. The cars housed here range from old retro cars to modern super cars. Some of the cars are housed behind glass casing for obvious reasons ( Lamborghinis, Ferrari and Bugatti.... Lottery Winners cars). The place is big and is over two floors. There is old relics of car related items... More

Visited this working museum recently and spent an enjoyable few hours roaming around this old giant tram depot. Entry is free. It has been skilfully converted to house vintage, rare and beautiful cars. There are specialist workshops repairing different models of cars. There are vintage cars for sale (for people who have won the lottery!!). All cars are there to... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
