What a hidden treasure, beautiful stained glass windows illuminating a church that is a great blend of modern and ancient. A great place to take some time to reflect.

Having been totally destroyed during WWII, this cathedral was rebuilt to include some of its original elements. Still, despite being rather large, the emptiness inside it somehow downgrades its grandeur.

Set near the Berliner Dom, the Franckisher Dom (and the Deutscher Dom), one is not surprised that the Catholic Cathedral has a dome. [Cathedral in German is Dom.] St. Hedwig is also near the Opera. built to resemble the Pantheon in Rome, there are six...More

We had just left Gendarmenmarkt and headed for Museumsinsel when we came across this side by side domed building. We stopped to discover it was a Catholic cathedral based on the Roman Pantheon. Inside the dome mesmerizes you and part of the church descends to...More

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
