A nice break from the city.

I enjoyed the visit to Strandbad Wansee. 5.50 EUR to get in, and about 7 EUR to rent the sun lounger. The beach was fairly clean, and the water was a nice 21 degrees C. It was... read more

Definitely recommend this place on a warm day if you are staying in Berlin for any length of time. Just a short train journey from Berlin, it's a lovely clean lake with golden sands and plenty of activities, such as walks, slides and food and drink vendors. Great fun for adults and children.

Very long walk from S-Bahn Nicolassee to Gate, another long walk to the beach. Need toilet? Door locked. have to walk back and find another entry. Beach is wonderful, white sands, clean, trees, big rocks of Labradorite, Water not so clean but acceptable, perfect for children, because very shallow, Food supply not to be recommended. Better bring your own. Closing... More

We enjoyed our day at Wannsee but the beach was very busy, The sand is clean and the water shallow and safe. Only downside was the high price to rent a sun brolly. Food prices were reasonable though. Well worth the 45 min journey from the city centre to enjoy the beach and a swim.

I took five 5th-graders to Wannsee beach for my daughter's 10th birthday (2 boys & 3 girls) & could not have had a better experience! I read several reviews for various Berlin pools and swimming holes and felt really confident about selecting Wannsee as the swim location for the party. (I also took a "test trip" one afternoon from 4pm-8pm... More

Easy to get to via the S Bahn with a short walk through the lovely forest which then pops out onto a fabulous huge area by the river/lake. There is loads for kids and families to do - apart from swimming! With a floating mini slide and pirate ship the kids can wander out to, hire of water sports craft,... More

Party of 4 went to Wannsee. We went on a Monday, no problem with parking, although S Bahn can be used. Entry was €5.5 for entry. We rented 2 korbs, the little shelters / loungers. These cost €8 each plus a €2 deposit. The beach area was spotlessly clean. The water was nice and clear, very shallow for quite a... More

Though not cheap (5,50€) it is a nice beach to pass the day. The beach witje the stand is very nice and relaxing but you have to go a long way before you can actually swim because the water is very shallow in the beginning.

Absolutely beautiful place to go on one of the hottest days in Berlin. Nice and clean sand beach. The water is shallow, but a sign marks a deeper zone where it is possible to swim. Furthermore there is a quite fun waterslide. Shops with food, drinks and ice cream are found inside. 5,5 euros per person and they accept credit... More

This lakeside lido combines well regulated beachside facilities -cafes, bars, toilets, hot and cold shows, quaint little mini beach huts- with unbelievably fine golden (be warned, it gets everywhere!) with freshwater swimming. The environment is very natural so if you only enjoy swimming in sanitized or salt water this freshwater experience probably isn't for you. I found it a relaxing... More
