This was my first time visiting any establishment like this. The staff were very friendly even though I didn't speak English and the prices are very reasonable for the facilities on offer. Huge saunas, great jacuzzi and spacious dark rooms and steam rooms. Would definitely recommend going Sunday afternoon, we went from 4 - 6 and there were approximately 150+... More

Lots of guys after 19:00. Walking around with looks like they wearing invisible crowns. I have not seen any action going on. Compensation was a good bar with hot crew. Cheap drinks.

A really nice place! You can rest and you can also have fun. The areas are regularly cleaned. The guys are nice looking, mostly aged 2X-3X.

Coming from Tokyo, a culture without many gay Saunas, it was an interesting experience to stay in Der Boiler. Men Only Gay Sauna. Mixed age group from 20 to 50, however mostly older men. Positive Feedback - I could not find one single staff without a smile. - The food and drinks were delicious with a very reasonable price. -... More

Going to Der Boiler was my first experience in an establishment like this. I'm from Chicago IL where we have similar Steamworks but have always been too afraid to go. This was a very pleasant experience, and I stayed much longer than I imagined. They keep the place very clean. It wasn't quite as busy as I would have imagined... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
