The building itself (as the name suggests) is actually a former train station and as such the spaces inside are large and open, perfect for a gallery like this. It's also much bigger than it may seem from the outside so allow plenty of time...More

First of all the Rudolf Belling Exhibiton which has been put on here whilst the Neue Nationalgalerie undergoes renovation is Fab. Overall the Hamburger Bahnhof is an absolute must for those interested in contemporary art. The museum is extensive and you will need a minimum...More

This place is a must for any lover of contemporary art. I went twice in the last year and each experience was completely unique. Almost like a different gallery. Lots of fascinating things to look at. It's also an interesting building that used to be...More

Like the Palais Tokyo in Paris I never fail visiting this museum when in town. In both places you never know what you will find and you might leave slightly disappointed or exhilarated - but it is always worth a visit. That is if you...More

I visited midday on a Sunday on a bank holiday. There was a long queue - was at ticket desk in 20 mins. I bought the three day museum pass and got hold of the guide which tells you which museums you can visit with...More

I must say this is not to my liking. There's a permanent exhibition of works by some well known artists like Andy Warhol. Besides works in this hall, some exhibits maybe too avant garde for laymen to appreciate. Art enthusiasts may find this very interesting...More

Rude arrogant staff, no one smiles or helps you, Very poor exhibits, 2 galleries were not open when we went. Lovely space but either nothing in it or very poor exhibitions. Very expensive for what there is to see. Worst gallery ever.

Alone this "saved" train station, originally opened in 1846, would be worth the trip -- not far from the new main train station in any case. The permanent collection is focussed on contemporary art and is not everybody's thing, although many of the pieces, such...More

It is a while since I last visited an exhibition here. I really enjoyed the building but was underwhelmed by the special exhibitions.

Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most
central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof
(central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is
a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of
Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending
their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party
venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful
parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life
