Me and my partner took the tour of Berlin City Sights a few days ago. Excellent in all ways. Matti, our guide was really informative and kept the attention of a large group at all times, while the pace was just right with a short break at lunch. This tour is such good value for money, and if you don't... More

My first ever walking tour, so nothing to compare it to, but found it really informative and interesting....despite the very cold weather! The tour guide Jesse obviously knew his stuff and delivered it in a very interesting and easy manner at a good pace. Wonderful sights seen and learned lots. Highly recommend it for the cost!

I did the Original Berlin Walk today and our tourguide Jesse was phenomenal. Very detailed and complete explanations about Berlin's History with very interesting remarks about todays Berlin as well. I would repeat this tour on a heartbeat and I obviously recommend this to anyone who visits this city!

Really interesting tour. Our guide, Beth, was very efficient in getting the group to the camp and back. More importantly, she was very knowledgeable, ready to answer questions and dealt with the difficult subject matter in a sensitive and appropriate way.

This was one of the best walking tours I have done in Europe! It was incredibly insightful and I learned so much about the history of Berlin and how the war affected the city. Pip was a wonderful guide who was knowledgeable, friendly and funny! (And she shared our excitement at seeing Justin Trudeau at one of the memorials). I... More

This tour was extremely fascinating and gave a detailed overview of the WWII history. Pip was an amazing guide who new her stuff and easily explained everything. I really enjoyed the tour and learnt a lot. If I was going to book another tour with this company I would ask for Pip. She was outstanding!!

Matti was our tour guide on a cold and wet Monday morning. we met as described HACKESCHER MARKT and verified our ticket was for the correct tour. I don't to go into details as that's the job of the guide and the enjoyable part, what I will say is that the guide made themselves open for questions at all times... More

Had a brilliant half-day on our first full day exploring Berlin. Our tour guide was Dennis, who fascinated me due to his passion and obvious genuine interest for the city he was talking about. His talk was very detailed but also succinct and easy to understand. I was amazed by the things I learnt. Turns out my knowledge of German... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
