In July with the sun shining, the flowers blooming, bees buzzing, birds singing, what a grand place to stroll trough or spend some time on a bench taking in the majesty of it all or soaking up the ambience on a blanket on the lawns. Quite magnificent.

Meaning "without cares", this is a great place to get away from the crowds, Built as a local version of the French Palace of Versailles. Be sure to check out the grave of Fredrich the Great who wanted to be buried by candlelight, with no fanfare and companioned only by his dogs.

There is a subway line from Berlim to Potsdam, then you can catch a bus to the park right in front of the station.

Beautiful grand palace garden, the French-style terraced formal garden stretching majestically down below the Sans Souci palace. Lovely light on a clear winter's afternoon. Beautiful views of the palace, statues, fountains, etc, and quite a nice view of Potsdam from the palace too.

We have been here numerous time through the years with our children as well as without. It is a lovely walk with a little woodland to explore within the park. Very romantic and good to visit all year round to see the different season. Sanssouci is not far from the tram stop so it is possible to take public transport... More

This park is kept to a very high standard. It is peaceful walking through the park and admiring the statues and palaces that are within the park, including the Chinese tea house. The park is accessible to disabled people although if walking it is a very long way from start to finish but it is mostly flat and there are... More

We took the train from Berlin using and ABC ticket for the day (17.80 Euro for up to 5 people). we got off at the Charlottenhof Bhf since that was the once closest to the Summer Palace. It was an easy walk but through a dirt path and we arrived at the bottom of the schloss. We walked through the... More

Our visit to this palace and its extensive green and treed park was a refreshing departure from mainly visiting picuresque towns, villages and cities on our drive through Northern Germany. This location, southwest of the city of Berlin with its beautifully laid out terraced gardens, fountains and long walks under the green canopy of the stately trees, adorned with a... More
