It is very nice to do a boattrip through the harbour. You can see huge containerships, but you also have a very nice view on the city itself. The trip itself is also very relaxing.

The port is enormous. It was fun to see all the old warehouses and also the immense port operations. There was an interesting model of all the development that is taking place.

Our cruise ship provided coaches to transfer the 35 to 40 minutes to The Town Hall where the main Christmas market is. The port itself is clean and functional with coaches waiting ready outside for our disembarkation.

It's a beautiful place and clean. It has good views and contains some of the city attractions. Can be visited using the ships that are used as public transport. Must visit in Hamburg.

They do have. There are yellow and red boys representing different companies. Just google Hamburg free walking tours and then you'll find them. Depending where you are you can either go to Landungsbrücke or to the Rathaus... More
