This lake in the center of the city. Take a boat trip for the city skyline. You can make a circuit of the Alster by car and stop at the viewpoints.

During a sunny day, I suggest to walk the whole perimeter of the Aussenalster (less than 8 km) but wear comfortable shoes. One meets lots of people joking and walking, one sees impressive houses, and can stop for a bite at several places
