It's a bit of a trek from Hamburg but well worth it. This is an excellent and very sympathetic memorial to the prisoners who 'resided' here. Very educational and well thought out. It's free to visit and just a couple of euros for the audio...More

Setting off from Lübecker Straße, we took the metro to Bergedorf and then the 327 or 227 (bus) to the camp. Getting to Bergedorf was quick, (less than half an hour,) with a wait of 15 minutes for the 327 and then a further half...More

It is recommended that you spend 3 hours here for the full experience, but we spent about 4 hours here and still had some stuff left to see. A very informative and respectful memorial that taught us many new things about what happened in concentration...More

I started at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and from platform 11, I got the 9.21am train to Buchen. It was one stop (10 minutes) to Bergedorf station. Single way cost 3.20 euros. From Bergedorf station, go upstairs and there is a connected bus station. I had just...More

Not as well known as similar memorials but interesting, thought provoking and poignant. Staff are friendly and informative as well as very kind and helpful. Easy to get to using public transport.

Hello, I don't know where your hotel is but transportation in Hamburg is fantastic and you will be able to reach the camp by train and then bus. I had never been to Hamburg before and figured it out very easily. Good luck!
