Me and my boyfriend were excited to go to the zoo of Hamburg. However, when we came here, we saw that the animals had way too small cages. It started at the entrance of the Tropen-Aquarium, in which the monkeys had to live in an...More

Super well designed! Great activity for a family with young kids and any age! You can rent wagons for you to move the children around! Here some pictures!

Really well laid out zoo. Lots to see. Wide variety of animals. Lots of interactivity. Lots of food options. Tip - the first few food areas you come to are generic zoo cafes with slightly overpriced food. Look out for more variety the further you...More

Visited this zoo while my husband was working. It was a holiday so it was jam packed with families and small children. If I ever visited again, I would go during the week, definitely not on a weekend or holiday - but then I don't...More

The Zoo, though fairly extensive is far too costly. Once in the zoo having paid a steep entrance fee, you find that some of the more interesting sections cost. I personally believe that some of the animals that we did see were not properly cared...More

It's the best zoo I've ever been in. It is big but very well organised and there is loads of benches and places to rest and get snack. It was full of children and families. You can buy food for animals in the shop and...More

This zoo is in a large parc with a lot of care for the landscape a giving animals a natural surrounding as much as possible. The aquarium is also great.

The attraction is represented by some wild animals walking freely in the garden. What I think was very useful and good was the teaching activity: care-takers of the zoo presented the animals to groups of children. At the end, the former asked some questions on...More

The Zoo is private I do not think so considering the high pricing they have but the best would be to check directly with them

Hi,I would reckon the zoo is very friendly for strollers--it is Germany and they do things correctly unlike my country!. Hope you enjoy your visit--we spent around 5 hours there so leave plenty of time.
