Very impressed with the inside of this church. Not only does it have a pretty ceiling but it also has a lot of original artwork, making it rather like an art gallery.

Hauptkirche St. Katharinen is a very nice church located in the old town of Hamburg, where you can see amazing stained glasses. For me it is one of the best churches in Hamburg and it is very recommendable visit the inner part.

This is tucked down a small side street so easy to miss but there is a small sign directing you to the church. I am not an expert but it is a little like the design of the church of St Michel (which is stunning)...More

Not the most beautiful in Hamburg but enjoyed seeing this place. The carved doors are stunning as you walk in and a beautiful stained glass window. The organ is amazing, carved wooden detailing and the smaller organ by the alter is very unusual. The art...More

This is a lovely church with an imposing façade and a rather humble interior. There was a rehearsal for an opera during the time of our visit, so we were able to enjoy some lovely singing. Don't miss the stained glass windows.
