Stumbled upon this cute neighbourhood and loved it. Feels like Berlin, with a lot of restaurants and nice bars. Visited it with children and felt very welcome. Nice shops, good food and great atmosphere!

Lots of special eateries and cool places. But also overcrowded, have been here multiple times and never found a seat somewhere in the evening. Take-away food during the day possibly though.

Tons of restaurants and bars, hundreds of people on the streets. The most controversial part of town these days. Go and take a look.

Just get out of Hamburg centre and port for a while. This area to the west has many bars and restaurants and is obviously much 'en vogue'. Artists, young people, trendy shops, and yes, beggars and drunks. All in all a pleasant atmosphere.

I was seriously unimpressed. Twice I saw large patches of blood on the pavement (yes I do know it was blood). The potentially beautiful buildings were an eyesore due to the almost complete cover of stickers, tagging, graffiti, and glued on posters. Many windows were...More
