Built on the site of an 8th century church. Some excellent art including 'Lamentation of Christ' by Van Dyck and a beautiful Madonna & child wood carving.
The Catedral can be seen everywhere in Frankfurt. It is very nice to visit this place.. Whole sentences won't be enough to tell it's beauty and I stop here..

For you history people this is a wonderful place seeing it was still standing after WW2. It's a very beautiful place and the area around is wonderful as well.
we did the climb up the stairs-great views of the city and Romer. building was closed, so did not see the inside. worth the climb; maybe 400 steps?
Nice Cathedral in the heart of Frankfurt. Very interesting red stone used throughout and images at the entrance depicting how the area was bombarded during WWII and the Church among the rubble.
