Destroyed by Allied bombing in 1944, Frankfurt's beautifully reconstructed opera house was reopened in 1981. It's now a major venue for concerts and operas.

The Old Opera Building is a wonderful old building in an otherwise fairly new city. The building is well preserved and looks good. It is a nice area and well worth a visit.

It is a nice and beautiful building. Specially in summer, there are many festivals around and a good atmosphere.

... but no clue about the inside. Great building to visit and take some photos. The fountain was decorated with lights when we were there. At night, is amazing.

The Opera house is beautiful and contrasts with modern architecture in the area. The Plaza around it also lovely with plenty of things to see and do.

A magnificient opera building featuring typical German architecture. It's within walking distance from the city centre and also accessible by taxi/public transport.

Loraine, which concert are you going to? At least there is a "Abendkasse" which opens 1 hour before each concert where you can purchase last minute tickets. Should be possible to deposit already paid tickets there as well... More

Hi! If the concert is inside the opera, then I would definitely recommend wearing something chic. Not necessarily a tie, but a shirt and blazer will do! Hope I could help. Have fun at the concert!
