Whether you're walking around the city or taking a tour on a hop on hop off bus, you keep must stop and see this landmark. It's in the Hesse area close to shopping and cafes. We weren't able to go inside but we're still taken by the beauty of the building and the fountain out front. I was like a... More

After a day walking around Frankfurt I stopped here on Sunday afternoon to graba bite. I was solo and the waiter ignored me before I could get a table. Another table arrived 15 minutes after I sat down and they received their menu and drinks way before I could even get any attention or the menu. For some reason the... More

When you're in Frankfurt, you should go and see the building. If you don't manage to get tickets for one of the concerts or events, at least go and have a look from the outside and walk around. It's a beautiful building. But you should definitely try to attend a performance inside. So far, we've never been disappointed.

An Institution you cannot miss, when visiting Frankfurt. All big balls in the city are being held here and the illumination at night is glamorous.

Well worth a look as the photo opportunities are many. I didn't go inside but wandered about the outside and took pictures.

A perle in the busy financial district of Frankfurt but still very easy to reach in 10min. by walking from your Touristic Point Hauptwache and Zeil. To reach there you simply have to continue walking straight through the Fressgass, a pedestrian street filled with places to eat, which connects the Alte Oper to the Hauptwache, or by walking till the... I didn't go in, but the outside of the opera house is quite stunning and it's set in a large pedestrianised area with lots of cafes and bars. Well worth seeing and there are lunch time concerts on certain days if you want to visit inside.
