The station is very convenient with lots of food n candy shops..we got out of the train , same level of the road so just dragged our luggage till our taxi..the only hitch is the train stops for only 5-7 mins to get down with...More
Beautiful exterior, was well designed architecturally. Grand in its day, when railway stations were as airports today.
Still important because trains are going everywhere in there as well as the people.
I have to say the cleanliness was beyond appalling. The city should be ashamed...More
Immense, bustling station, very clean and well-organised. Lots of eateries - everything from ham hocks to fish and with access to large areas of small underground shops. Plenty of available wifi and routes into the centre via escalators. Non-threatening and safer than most stations due...More

It is big and bustling, with streams of people in every direction. All the signs are in German, so if that is not your language, prepare yourself with translations of the key words needed to get yourself to where you want to be.

Frankfurt airport is very large. Follow signs to train station once you have finished bag collection, customs etc. Airport train takes you to main Hauptbahnhof & took approx 12-15 min (?cost 5 euros there's either machines or there's a ticket tourist office: this is where I confirmed where to get train). I think it was platform 1 (you had to walk quite a way with bag). Unfortunately the escalator was broken and I had to carry my large bag down the stairs to the platform. Look for disabled wheelchair sign which might lead you to a lift.
I'm not sure about return journey as I did not return. Sorry if that's not what you've asked for
