Me and Becky stopped here and although nice it is just a station. Grand Central is still my favourite.

Public transportation hub of Frankfurt for intracity and international travels. It is directly linked to the Frankfurt International Airport via S-Bahn. The station is centrally located and just steps away from Kaiserstrasse. DB, S-Bahn, U-Bahn and trams can be taken from here to any destinations...More

Clean station, we felt safe walking around. The different types of line and platforms are well signposted. The ticket machines don’t let you buy open returns (or we couldn’t work out what to press to get one) and had to go to the ticket area....More

We've been through here dozens of times and it's constantly under some kind of renovation. It's better than it's been in a long time but still is very busy. Main reason for the review is to give some tips for newcomers. 1. Note the type...More

Frankfurt’s bustling main central city train station has a great atmosphere. Love the old design, plenty of food options, easy to get to long distance trains and interchange from the S-Bahn (including S8 or S9 from FRA) or trams.

Arrived from airport into Frankfurt Hbf and found a marvellous traditionally European station with typically wonderful concession stands selling fresh bread, pastries and coffees etc. Also used station to get to Heidelberg - so atmospheric and impressive building and infrastructure.

The DB or ICE trains are all very good for intercity or regional connections. Ensure you also book a seat as well for first/business class as you may not have one if you just 'wing it' in peak times. Service is variable in... More
