Very nice and big station. A lot of shops and fast foods which are quite expensive. Under the station is metro.

Beautiful exterior, was well designed architecturally. Grand in its day, when railway stations were as airports today. Still important because trains are going everywhere in there as well as the people. I have to say the cleanliness was beyond appalling. The city should be ashamed...More

This is Frankfurt's main train station. Here you can travel to over parts of Germany and the countries beyond. There are lots of cafes and eateries while you are waiting for your train.

It is big and bustling, with streams of people in every direction. All the signs are in German, so if that is not your language, prepare yourself with translations of the key words needed to get yourself to where you want to be.

It is quite central but very practical for the usual bus, S, U and inter city Bahns. Quite spacious even when busy. Didn’t see anybody comprising of pick pockets but there are roaming beggars.

There are plenty of ICE trains - Inter City Express - running around every 30 minutes. Journey is direct and takes about 3 hours 15 minutes.

There a lot of fast food (nice)options. I purchased a wonderful cheese salad roll and juice to eat on the train.
