Spent an afternoon here. Gardens are nicely laid out and there is plenty to see even in the winter by going into each green house. Large variety of plants in each green house and nice to get out of the cold. Went during the spring flower show and was great getting an early showing of all the spring flowers that... More

We enjoyed our time here so much that during our 3 day stay in Frankfurt we came here twice! We were here in August when the weather was hot and sunny. The Palmengarten was a tranquil oasis in the city. There is parking, which we used once, and it's also accessible by bus. The children enjoyed looking at the various... More

It looks like this place has potential, but is really not worth visiting in the winter. In January there was much construction, but they did have a nice, but small exhibit of Camillas in the main greenhouse. The hothouses were unoriginal and had a few interesting orchids. The swans and ducks were still present in the ponds and the paths... More

A tropical oasis in the middle winter. It was nice to escape the cold temperatures outside and suddenly feel, experience, and escape to a warmer climate inside this enormous atrium of exotic plants and vegetation.

id say it is only worth seeing on a nice cloudless and warm day. they sometimes have special events which are nice. normally it is like a park.

Like so many things in Frankfurt, the Palmengarten is overpriced, especially when compared to other botanical gardens in Germany. It also has a lot less to offer than some of the others I visited, and has some very visitor-unfriendly limitations on the days and hours some of its exhibits may be viewed.

It is one of the must do attractions in Frankfurt: there are different areas where you can see plants from many subclimates, from desert to rain forest to tropic islands. There are also nice gardends outside, however we could not make the most out of it since we visited it in December.

always a good choice lunch break family visits creative brainstorming meetings to read or strall around the fantastic flora beautifull on special occasions like the Rosenfest or Lichterfest

- was invited to an event twice already - once all the trouble is to much, you can hide away in the "real" jungle just next door

Been to the Palmengarten many times with the children when they were small and again just for a walk and to enjoy the ambiance throughout the year.
