Marburg Germany’s most important person is(was) St Elizabeth. You can’t visit this city without learning something about her. The church is beautiful, one of the oldest gothic style churches in germany. I’ve visited numerous times as I live here at the moment. We always take...More

I'd recommend going here with a guide - our guide told us a lot of really interesting history about Marburg and St. Elizabeth here. Inside is a traditional, old church.

Interior very dark but very historic. There is shop across the street with postcards etc. Reichspräsident Hindenburg is buried here on the left side.

Even for people who are not very religious, this simply is a church not to be missed. Beautiful architecture, windows and art, friendly staff. Not sure about the modern style organ. Parking can be a bit of an issue.
