The museum is small and on the first floor. There are a few rooms and a few nice toys as well but it is not very well set up. They had a room full of model railways through very alps-like tunnels. The setup looked great but unfortunately it was not operational. This was during peak tourist season so I'm guessing... More

The little exhibition in mainly of toy trains , where the highlight of it is a model of the size of a room of a train route along the Rhine.

I enjoyed the Toy museum but it is like an old-fashioned museum without interaction. So you can admire the dolls and toys and wonderful treasures and you can watch the great railway huffing and puffing along the room and past delightful toy villages but you can't play with it. The museum a bit hidden away and we were the only... More

With my husband liking model railways we decided to pay a visit. The museum is on the far side of town a short walk from the centre. The model railway was quite big but certainly no where near as good as others we have seen with only one train moving. The toy collection was quite random. Some items of interest... More

It was a very peaceful, intriguing and entertaining stop on a city self tour. The history of toys and the role played by European artists was astonishing.

I felt the entry price at this museum was quite a lot for what it was. 5 Euros each for about 10 minutes is a bit steep, although some information was in English, it was not consistently so. one or two good things for the kids which i won't spoil by disclosing here.

The model railway is still there, but with a new, slower running locomotive. There are also some more tin toys. As it was a wet day, we spent some time admiring the collection.

Visited this museum with friends and really enjoyed the variety of mechanical musical instruments. The building is very old with plenty of history. The guide was extremely good and played many of the musical items for us. Not a toy museum in the true sense.

Enjoyed the return visit with my partner to see the museum, and still marvel at some of the amazing exhibits on display. An excellent guide and most enjoyable visit.

This is not worth the 5 euro entrance fee. One euro, maybe. It is only one floor, and takes about 5 minutes to see everything. Of course, it takes longer to photograph all the disturbing toys housed within so you can scare your friends by posting photos of demonic dolls on Facebook.
