Small but interesting

This museum is situated in the castle but consist of only one room. Nevertheless it contains very interesting religious artefacts and art pieces.

This museum is situated in the castle but consist of only one room. Nevertheless it contains very interesting religious artefacts and art pieces.

A short walk from Hotel Wienecke Kuhstr through the Magnivierel medieval houses. Not sure if English spoken but I found custodians very helpful and interesting. Excellent collection of old musical instruments including a piano played by Clara Schuman. Collection belonged to the Steinweg family (Steinway pianos). Occasionally featuring a special exhibition in one of the side rooms on the ground floor, this motley collection has little coherence. Braunschweigh itself is one of my favorite cities in Germany, and this Museum leaves you wanting for no more.

Very interesting for an Englishman to see WWI from the other side. Heartbreaking, waste of life. Well put together exhibition
