We visited the zoo with the intention of seeing my wife's favourite, the wallabies but when we got there they were probably taking an afternoon nap! However the other animals and the settings more than made up for the disappointment.

I was expecting to see a huge area filled with many animals. Even though there are many different species, it wasn't exactly what I was waiting. If you visit it, make sure you attent the seals performance.

The zoo is really amazing! I liked that for each section there is a different theme, it was awesome. Also we managed to catch quite a number of shows, no wonder we spent almost half of the day there. :)

This is the best zoo I've ever been to. It's had lots of investment over the last decade or so and the themed areas are very special and make you feel like you're on a trip abroad - the African area with the Sambesi boat...More

It was easy to get there, parking was easy. Things seem to move along well. I stopped at Gasthaus Meyer for lunch/pastry. All the animals seemed healthy. I did however think the Elephants area was to small for them.

The animals are so unhappy. It's sad to see them like this. It was the the first time at the zoo for me and definitely the last one.

We go to loads of Zoos. We didn't really plan on Hannover Zoo, we thought we would go to a different one that we had researched, but this was closer. You can get the metro out to the zoo, which is a quick and pleasant...More

We visited the zoo as a family, three children and two adults. The entrance fee was very reasonable. There is a vast range of animals to see and the enclosures are constructed in such a way that you get great views. For example the Hippo...More

I don't remember, except that for a single day it was a bit pricy. We were locals at the time and bought a season ticket. That was actually not so much more, so if you dropped by just a couple of times the total / average... More
