In the Region I do not know, which I like more to go. It is not 100% romantic as some of the stalls sell more modern items, but if you take the traditional meaning of Christmas markets to find presents for Christmas, then they fit into the theme. A lot of Glühwein and Food booth, which makes it an ideal... More

The Christmas Market in Bonn is set in the walkways and square in the city centre, which makes it easy to visit all the stalls. There is a lot of space to walk round and you do not need to fight the crowds to get about. The stalls have a variety for craft and Christmas items and there are plenty... More

We love the German Xmas markets, Cologne being one of our favourites. This time we chose to stay in Bonn. It was a really nice market, but still a little disappointing. Mainly food and drink, very few decorations. Which is quite sad. I bought most of mine in the local department stores. We had done the market on the first... More

The Market have old German charm with street food and beer and lot to buy on road. These days there are many modern stores like Zara and Newyorker selling amazing Christmas collection.

If you're in Bonn during the Christmas season, at least one of the Christmas markets is a must you should visit. There's a decent one in Bonn, but there are others in the neighbouring cities and towns that worth a visit. Don't forget the Glühwine - you can also get a signature Christmas mug every year for only 2 euros.... More

Definitely one of the better christmas markets, however not the greatest and most amazing in Germany. However, definitely worth a visit when in the area.
