A superb day at the zoo in the heart of the city. Overall, well worth a visit. Hippo feed was amazing, didn't realise quite how big these creatures are. Playful seals sliding along the path between pools. Bear enclosures need to be revamped. Aquarium has...More

I loved the Zoo. Just be warned on a hot day it can get tiring. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in cologne. Lots of photo opportunities

Nicely laid out and easy access via transit. Great spot to bring the kids. Zoo ticket also includes the aquarium next door.

The zoo is quite big and you need over 2 - 2.30 hours to see all the animals. It has nice corners for kids, parks and games. Generally a must visit place for all loves of wild life

Although the "zoo" idea is not good for us we went there for children. They couldn't see most of these animals alive till this moment. We spend almost 6 hours in there and that was a very good experience for them.

Besides the usual controversy around zoos, this is a nice one. Prized fairly for a full day visit. Only negative point is the complete lack of any other than german language in the signals, in the brochures and in most of the staff. Besides that...More

The zoo is very well designed- multiple areas with different climate zones - you can see hippos, a big Family of elephants, a lot of different apes and so much more. The experience is engaging and fun! The layout of the zoo seems quite friendly...More

I experienced a lot when I got to this zoo. I remembered going there in the good old days of my early life. However, the zoo was a disappointment to me. The animals were trapped in small enclosures and I ended up only feeling sorry...More

I have visited a few zoos and this is definitely at the top of the list for me. We managed to see most if not all of the animals. They even have a petting zoo for kids. Expect to do a lot of walking if...More

Yes, I would say this as well, you can chose, there is a lot to see and if you love plants even more. There is a restaurant so you can have a break - and you can also visit the Aquarium which is lovely.
