For an adult ticket I’ve paid 19,5€. I was visiting alone and I was not bored! This zoo has a lot of different types of animals, from insects and fish, through reptiles and birds to small and large mammals. I’ve spent there 3 hours and...More

We visited the zoo in April on a slightly dull day which was definitely the right move. There was hardly anyone else there and it meant we could wander at our own pace and see everything. Some enclosures looked more run down than others but...More

Visited here as a family (2 adults, 1 young child) during our stay in early January. We actually visited the zoo twice, once at night for the Chinese Light Festival and then again the following day. Both visits were great, the light festival was an...More

Love a zoo and this one didn’t disappoint. Loads of room for most the animals. I went when it opened at 9.15 just after it opened and most the animals were still shut away for the night. They gradually were let out. Had to wait...More

The zoo has a great array of animals. Most of which you get to feel very close to and get a great view of. It took us around 3 hours to get there but you could easily spend longer there

What an incredible zoo! It was much bigger than we expected and the 3 hours we had given ourselves to explore it (and the aquarium) was not enough to fully appreciate it all. There was a huge range of animals- the highlights were the Great...More

Every new city we visit we always make a day for the zoo and Cologne's zoo was definitely worthwhile. Similar to Berlin (and maybe Germany in general) the animals are kept in very spacious areas. There's a great rainforest experience where you'll see all sorts...More

The zoo is obviously aging but the staff is fantastic and very competent at keeping the facility well maintained and running smoothly despite the obvious challenges. Worthy a visit to the aquarium right in front of the main entrance. Kids loved it!

Decided to come here last minute when visiting Cologne and we were not disappointed! There is a tram/metro stop directly outside so it is very easy to get to. Its a large zoo but unlike others we have been to, is very easy to navigate...More

It was very good quality of food at a very reasonable price. For two meals of cheeseburger and chips and two drinks we paid probably $20 or so.
