This giant Gothic cathedral, which until its completion in 1880 had been under construction for over 500 years, is perhaps Germany's most famous religious structure and includes two huge towers that serve as the defining symbol of Cologne's skyline.

This is a building you cannot miss when visiting Cologne. Probably designed to make us mere mortals feel puny, this building is massive. The interior design is beautiful. Entrance is free and definitely worth a visit. We where there during the Christmas market.

Лично видел китайскую туристку, которая сначала была в соборе с чемоданом, а потом взабралась с ним на саму башню собора.

Yes there is a rail which goes to the TOP. you can pause and rest where you can witness a big bell and the view from the top. As some one mentioned it is a long slog but worth it All the best.
