We came to the museum as part of a study trip with the South and East Museums Federation and were lucky enough to be shown around by Dr. Schlombs, who was able to bring the collection to life with her extensive knowledge. The collection itself...More

On the entrance, there was a small note that mentioned (in German) something about revisions. It turned out that until March 2018 - as we understood it anyway - more than half of the exhibition spaces are unavailable for the public due to the build-up...More

Fantastic museum. Beautiful exhibition with beautiful objects. The White Gold. Don't miss it. A true pleasure to visit. It is situated near a wonderful park in walking distance of the city center.

The museum was closed for refurbishment, but the cafe is still very pleasant. The menu included sweet and savoury options, and there is a car park and a view across an artificial lake. Some way from the centre, but only a short tram ride.
