Lovely place in town to stroll around. Plenty of pubs and restaurants. Something for everyone's taste. During December a lot of places sell hot wine and small markets are around. Great atmosphere and excellent visit.

Bar after bar, lots and lots of bars! When you get one of the altbiers the waiter puts a mark on your beer mat and when you've finished and want to pay he adds up the marks as to how many beers you've had, a brilliant way to pay and keep track. Not only is there plenty of places to... More

It is a really big old town at Germany. With typical culture and architecture of Europe. With a great mix of historic buildings with really modern shops, restaurants and places. Beautiful town to visit looking for history and shopping. Recommend for friends and families. Incredible views near the river. We would like to visit it again.

The buildings in Alstadt are beautiful, there's lots of cool bars that you can sit outside. The town hall is also pretty and walking down the river is lovely. We went for the Christmas markets which were fantastic and quite relaxed.

Düsseldorf is a brilliant weekend town, especially when the Christmas market is on. Quaint streets, a great atmosphere and a fantastic choice of bars and restaurants makes it well worth a visit

The old town in Düsseldorf is a must visit. The skyline of Düsseldorf is dotted with modern architecture but here you see some of the oldest buildings in the city and its stunning. Lots to see and do, with shops and wonderful restaurants and the local breweries selling Düsseldorf's famous Altbier. The Rhine is nearby and the area is fantastic... More
