While we thoroughly enjoyed the art collection and temporary exhibition, a couple of security guards ruined the start of our visit. When complaining at the front desk we were informed that it is a known issue and that the security guards are outsourced (and there...More

Lovely modern gallery with interesting works to spend a quiet couple of house browsing. There is an exhibition of Carmen Herrera which is a welcome addition.

The building is rather interesting: well inserted in the surroundings with a appealing curved façade. The possibilities of the rooms are immense: spacious rooms for temporary exhibits on the ground floor and all kind of spaces for the permanent collection on the first floor. The...More

Great museum for modern art. We expected that our children would be (slightly) bored but they also loved it. A must see when in Düsseldorf!

Worth a short visit. Nice collection of the 20th century including some well known names such as Klee, Kandinsky, Picasso, Chagall. Reasonably expensive.

Definitely worth a visit. It's a large space with some interesting pieces. You can buy a combined ticket for K20, K21 and F3 for 18 euros although this feels a bit too expensive. The only downside was the staff who follow you around, sometimes they...More

Open, spacious, well-displayed and extensive collection of 20th century art - what's not to like? The gallery is also welcoming, with two coffee shops, toilets on different floors etc. If driving, there's underground parking on site, though it would have been helpful to include a...More

This is a spacious collection, with so much great art that it’s hard to take in all it has to offer. An enormous collection of works by Paul Klee. Opens your eyes to see his development over the years and decades. A must. But lots...More

The museum has spacious galleries with, like in so many museums, bits and pieces of different artists. When I visited there was an interesting exhibition "Art et Liberté" about the surrealist movement before WW2 in Egypt with many paintings, prints and photographs. Don't miss the...More

Only the second floor was open when we visited but we really enjoyed the gallery's main collection. The audio guide was helpful. We also enjoyed the quirky cafe for coffee. It had some lovely books to look through and funky furniture as well.

Note that there are two buildings. K20 Grabbeplatz is at the Heinrich-Heine Allee stop, K21 Ständehaus is at the Graf-Adolf-Platz stop. There's a free shuttle bus to go from one to the other, though it is a pleasant walk if... More
