The large lake is big enough for paddle boats and other recreational pleasures while surrounded by a lot of green space. In the evening, lights from the numerous restaurants and bars surrounding the lake make the place magical.

Lake Aasee is the place to go. It's the greeness place that I know in Münster. You can walk around the whole lake. Ducks and swanns swimm in the lake. You also have the opportunity to take a boat trip around the lake. Or watch children take sailing boat lessons. Or adults who go sailing on the lake. There are... More

This really is a special gem located right in the city center of Munster. There is a walking/jogging path all the way around the lake and there are a couple of restaurants where you can eat or drink while watching the people, boats, dogs etc in nice weather. It's the best in the summer but also nice in the winter,... More

You can't visit Muenster and not see the lake. It's going to give you a good taste of nature. Also, you have to ride a bike, like local peope

The lake is quiet this time of year. It is still beautiful and calming. Walked along the promenade several times during the day and each has it's own quality. I enjoyed also looking at the home above which are quite elegant. Walking is quite easy as it is fully paved.

During winter there's not much of anything going on at the lake, even Christmas lights, but I'm sure it's a place to be when it's a different season. The lake is about three miles long and there's plenty of walking space and wide open areas and fields, but other than that, there was nothing special about Lake Aasee. The name... More

The Aasee is a large, pretty lake located on the fringe of the Munster old town. It is about three miles long. The entire lake is ringed by a narrow park, and jogging/walking paths- with regular Pokémon Go stops, for those so inclined. There are at least two restaurants along the shore, a very reasonably priced Italian one called La... More

All together about five (5,5) km around the lake, a possibility to take bridge in the middle. Plenty of people going around it, all the time. No lighting, i. e. in the evening it is really dark (no hassles, ever, during dozens of times), it just is, you know, dark. During the light time of the day, plenty of of... More
