Avoid the high-cost Rhine or Moselle river cruises--just get a car rental and while basing your trip in beautiful Cochem (with its own castle overlooking the quaint town) along the Moselle, plan day drives to nearby castles like Eltz or south to Trier or north...More

This is to all intents and purposes an excellent ship. The crew are friendly, the service is excellent and the food is good. The only problem is if you are allocated a cabin at the back. My cabin was 331 on the Chopin (upper) deck....More

This was our first experience of any type of cruise, and I think we may have set the bar so high for the future. Even from the booking stage, the service was immaculate. There are no words that I feel will do justice to the...More

We agree with previous reviewer. We were also lead to believe that it was train all the way to the boat, we were not expecting that 90 minute taxi ride. Rudesheim was good. We didn’t book the excursion so went to Koblenz Christmas market. Not...More

Can't believe the last review was 5 years ago. We've just done the Amsterdam to Budapest cruise with APT and simply cannot praise it enough. You'll have to backtrack through my reviews to find all the places we went to but suffice it to say...More

Pretty uneventful and industrial till you reach the castles region, then there are castles about every half mile or mile. Beautiful vineyards along the valley also. Quaint little towns as well as Cologne.

The Rhine River Valley is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been. The towns are charming, the restaurants are top rate and the castles are spectacular. We arrived by train then toured by e-bike. Our hotel (Hotel Krone in Bingen) arranged the bike...More

Took the Cologne - Basel Christmas markets cruise in '17 on the SS Antionette by Uniworld. The ship was beautifully decorated, comfortable and the food was great. Well planned exclusions and an Italian sommelier to boot. Good trip will consider Uniworld again

I did not travel on the AmaMora but I have traveled on three other ships of AmaWaterways. I prefer the Violin deck and I have a preference for suites ending in an odd number, like 303 or 301.
