We visited this museum with the family and all were very interested and positively surprised. There is a huge number of "not so old" tanks and planes to be seen. The main building is a 4 store filled with weapons, communication systems, observation systems, army clothing, and artillery guns. The annex is filled with tanks, army vehicles, submarine weapons, cruiser... More

This is not a museum, it is a collection of the German army that is still in use for instruction and study, keep your passport ready at the entrance. Biggest collection of various types of weapons ever seen, allow yourself enough time to visit this place because there is so much to see. Bring your own snacks and drink, no... More

Floors of weaponry plus many cut away machines make for a fascinating visit. Passport needed for entry and nowhere to get a drink so go prepared.Take a street map if you are walking from the city centre as the locals don't seem to have heard of it!

If you have any interest in militaria, this museum has a huge range of pretty much everything military. The ground floor is a bit of a hotch-potch of bits of everything but the four floors above are more organised and have an amazing selection of every category you can imagine. As others on here say, it is part of a... More

This is a military facility, so to get in you need to have your passport with you. They will let foreign civilians in, but you must have that for ID. Also, you will need 3 euros in 1, 2, and 0.50 coins to get in, you should have it with you, the change machine seems unreliable. It is amazing how... More

Quite hard to find but within walking distance from German Corner if you are fit and have a City street map , otherwise number 5 bus is I believe the bus we caught back to main train station . 3 Euros entry by means of coin machine stile , and the security guard to whom you show photo ID does... This is a must for any military enthusiast. 5 levels of floor to ceiling military history, including an original Enigma machine. I'm not even a military enthusiast, and I found this place incredible. In each section, some of the equipment is cut open so you can see the inner workings, including an entire tank cut down the middle. Uniforms, helmets,... More

Allow as much time as you have: this is an excellent must-see for anyone interested in military history and technology. Note: this is not a museum per se. The collection is kept and maintained by an office of the German federal defense ministry as a learning, training and development resource. Yes, it's open to the public, but it's very much... More

This military museum is not the easiest place to find by foot but well worth the effort. There dont appear to be any signs giving directions but if your driving and have a sat nav it shouldnt be a problem. €3 entrance fee, well worth it. So much to see but if dont read German it could be a problem... More

I spent only 1,5 hours there, but I recommend much longer. There are different floors open for public visit, including more than you can imagine: tanks, Vehicles, plane, submarine, technical equipment, uniforms, and a full floor of light weapons from 1800's to future! Have to mention the prototypes you might won't see in other places or movies. It deserves so... More
