Few blocks from the hotel is a structure with solid walls. I was curious how was it inside. It was dark due to cloudy and about to rain.. i just tried to look in and found out at the main entrance that it is a synagogue. I t could have been constructed new to the place maybe after the war.

1957, Block-shaped, coppered dome with star of David, has a prayer room with women gallery. Trier had many synagogues before this one was built in 1957. The synagogue in use before this one (which was located at Zuckerberg) was in November 1938 looted and destroyed by Antisemitists and in 1944 damaged by a bomb-air-raid, 1956 aborted and demolished, to replace it this new synagogue was built. It is still in working order, but if you want to visit its interior: check opening times, as those are just few.
