Once the royal stables and place of medieval combat games

A well restored place. Inner yard of the royal stables with a lot of royal coat of arms painted on the arcade walls. The former washing basin for the horses is still there. Once... read more

A long gallery entered via metal gates with a renovated statue against the wall. The area has been well reconstructed and is worth 10 minutes of your time. It certainly is on the guided tour route as we followed a group in there to see what they were going to look at. I didn't really know the provenance of what... More

A well restored place. Inner yard of the royal stables with a lot of royal coat of arms painted on the arcade walls. The former washing basin for the horses is still there. Once medieval games were held in this yard. This place was entirely demolished during WW2 because of air bombardments. Free entrance, near the Royal Palace and worth... More

These stables are lovely. It is great to see the restoration has been done so meticulously. Look out for the horse ramp and horse bath.

By accident, okay we got lost, we ended up at the Stallhof which immediately reminded me of the grey Wedgewood china -- a beautiful passageway which one should seek out.

Most people are so fascinated by the Fürstenzug that they don’t go through the door (just before the beginning of the procession) which leads into the royal stable yard. Big mistake if you don’t! A long archway decorated with Sgraffito awaits you there.

When in Dresden there is so much to see and walking along this area was just very enjoyable - the historic background so interesting!!

You can see this by doing a quick detour as you walk through the arch of the royal palace whilst enjoying the local construction sites. It's quite disappointing really.

Stunning and breath-taking architecture which is quite tricky since it's hidden. If you come to Dresden to see architecture, write down this place you won't regret.

Like somebody's living room. Some game heads hanging here and there and contrast in the walls. It's charming but not much, still would be a must see in any other city.
