I'm sorry to see that this zoo has mixed reviews. I loved it. In fact, I liked it more than Prague Zoo. At first I was worried, as it looked like the animals were in these small areas, but then you see that the area is connected to two other areas. So, they end up having a lot of areas... More

... and so it went on and on through the whole Zoo. I couldn't recommend this place with the focus on service.

I must admit that I am fairly undecided about a zoo. Yes some, like our nearest in Chester, are heavily involved in conservation work, but I am uncomfortable about seeing animals pacing up and down well worn paths in poor enclosures as with some here. The one where the lions are kept is a very stark environment although a new... More

We visited this Zoo in the afternoon after we visited the Great Garden, Most of the animals were not in the Den or were sleeping. We missed the Snow Leopard. We could see the Lions but they were sleeping. The Penguins are very small and are kept in an open pond. The Best part was the Giraffe & the oldest... More

A good place for walk. But, please, don't expect very huge number of animals. I remember especially szympansie and mini pandas. The best way to get a zoo is narrow rail-way (take train for instance from the Glass Factory)

We visited Dresden in summer 2016. Historical city is nice, but Zoo is super. When i saw pictures from war. I must tell, that is incredible how they repair their city. In Zoo we saw elephants, giraffes, lions and atc. There is many places for relax and many playground. If you want visit Dresden with child you must visit Zoo... More

i have to admit, it is a great place if you have kids - there are so many play opportunities for the little ones. but as an adult, i was quite disappointed... a lot of animals (i would say 1/4) were just not there... it is not fun to look at the empty cages, even if the entrance is actually... It is worth the price considering the amount of animals the Zoo has. Overall I am satisfied. I personally like the suricates very much

The zoo isn’t very large, but quite nicely laid out. Easy to get to, with a tram-stop just outside. Cages/enclosures where fairly OK, but some aviaries were overstocked (and smelly!). We came on a fairly cold day, so some animals had retired to their dens. The dholes were putting on a good show, which was fun as they aren’t that... More

If you are travelling with kids, going to Dresden Zoo is a must. It is not big one, but it is arranged with taste and provides excellent moments for you and your kid - watching the animals, or touching some of them. Both my wife and daughter were excited there. You can easily spend even a whole day here if... More
