Surprisingly spacious interior while the exterior is a mix of gothic and pastel-coloured-Germanic. Church bells (made of porcelain) tinkle agreeably throughout the day. Biggest surprise however was seeing the Supper at Emmaus depicted in the East Window, the first time I've seen this in glass.

Europe is renowned for its gothic cathedrals and this Frauenkirche must be one of the most striking. Inside and out this gothic centuries old church is a tribute to the faith. Take your camera to capture many of the remarkable statues art objects and artifacts....More

In February 1945, this church was completely destroyed by allied bombings. 50 years later, the church was restored in its original state. The result is astonishing : the museum in the basement impresses by showing human resilience, the church itself impresses by its beauty. A...More

Lovely renovated local church which is worth a look at. Grab the key from the information desk and climb up the tower. Great view over town at only 2€ per person.

Near or on the old city square, it is an easy visit. It is typical of other area churches and has a beautiful wooden alter and some interesting artwork.

You'll receive the key and the English instructions in the church. An entrance costs 2E for an adult. Then you'll go outside the church and you'll open the door to steps to the tower. The steps are ok for anyone who sports at least occasionally....More

Not for the intrepid or faint of heart, this is a real treat! Ask for the key from inside the church, walk around the outside to the tower, unlock the door with the old key, relock yourself in and climb to the viewing platform. Incredible...More

We particularly wanted to hear the carillon of Meissen porcelaine bells which are so unusual, but sadly the church is undergoing restoration at the moment so the bells were not being played.

We lived in the hotel beside the Frauenkirche. Church's bells made of Meissen porcelain. Bells ring every 15 minutes, and 4 times a day they play different music, it sounds unbelievable! You can find timetable of the music in the internet. I was really happy...More
