Nice little museum of chocolade , great for kids, however it is definetely not a must see. The shop at the first floor is also great with a large variety of goods and prices.

I'm a big fan of chocolate so it was very exciting for me to visit the museum! The entrance was actually quite costly in my opinion (EUR 6.00) but it was worth it! There was detailed explanations about chocolate: history, how it came to Europe, how the factory was established, and more. Plus there were exhibitions made entirely of chocolate!... More

There is a museum and a factory outlet. The museum costs money. You walk around yourself. Good signs and many things for kids. You can overlook the production and a couple of choc makers but not take pictures of this. Why? That is the interesting part. Good offers at the outlet.

Germany's oldest chocolate factory is a treat! We enjoyed a delicious afternoon at Halloren Schokoladenfabrik when visiting Halle. We learnt a great deal about the origin of chocolate, watched the production process, enjoyed excellent coffee and delicious cake with samples of the famous Hallorenkugeln in a spacious and beautifully furnished café ... If we had known before, we would have... More

I was new in town so I signed up for a tour organized by the international office of MLU. They were in the middle of remodeling. The best place is the chocolate room.

Although the external appearance doesn't look so exciting, from inside, this Chocolate factory and museum (being the oldest in Germany) is great! Chocolates are sold at outlet prices here so you can save big time and I have not tasted anything that was not good. Quality is between 8 to 10 out of ten depending on the type of chocolate.... Relatives took us to this wonderful chocolate factory and we saw some of the production as well as walking through the Museum. One room had EVERYTHING made of chocolate - absolutely amazing. We had coffee/hot chocolate and icecream in the café afterwards. Obviously we bought chocolates to take with us!

The oldest chocolate factory in Germany, it is very active today and includes an interesting museum. Unfortunately, all the display explanations are in German, so an audio guide would be advisable if you are not fluent.

We were brought to this attraction by cousins who had not been themselves before. Arrived with time to use the cafe and I sampled the original hot chocolate. There were six other flavours on offer. It was OK but didn't excite me. A knowledgeable man guided us in a group, and I was glad my German was up to understanding... More

The museum is awesome. The history of chocolate in Halle. Not to spoil it, but Jewish ownership, then WWII, then Communist rule made for an awesome story. I think I read every plaque. I couldn't wait to get to try the chocolate after all that survival through adversity. But the chocolate was average at best. I tried a lot of... More
