While U-995 didn't have much of a WW2 military history, it remains important because there are virtually no U-boats of that vintage left. We had to take a train to Kiel and the from the train station the 100 bus to Laboe for $3.20 a...More

This is an excellent museum. It's very well preserved and there is a great English guide available. It's possible to go into almost all compartments and go under the Uboat. A really authentic location and museum piece

Visited the UBoat on 4 th Sept and was impressed at the excellent way that it was preserved for tourists and presented with an adequate amount of war history. Very Impressed.

One has to see it live to have an idea how those things were. I would recommend it to anyone, with or without kids.

Very interesting to see how the sailors lived in the submarine and how little space they actually have! I wouldn't advise going in October unless you wrap up warm... it is VERY cold!

I have always had an interest in the U Boat, I just had to visit this U 995. She is well worth the visit to any U boat enthusiast.

The visit of the inside of the submarine gives you a good idea what it must have been like for soldiers to live in such close quarters, especially during WWII.

Interesting tour of an authentic U-boat from the second world war. One understands quickly how short the crew must have been as well as the claustrophobic environment. Across the street is a memorial to those that lost their lives.

This is a static display right on the sea shore quite dramatic. You can go inside and examine just how life was in a submarine.

OK I have to admit, this was a “bucket list” item for me. The U995 is worth the trip; we drove 5 hours out of our way to see it. First, seeing the only Type VII U-Boat left in the world was amazing. We basically...More

It's about 10 EUR per person, for both the sub and the naval memorial across the street. Both are well worth the visit.
